AIDS Jagruthi Mahila Sangha
Jagruthi, meaning “Awareness” in Kannada, operates across five talukas and 368 villages in Bijapur district, collaborating with various local NGOs. The project supports Women in Sex Work(WSW), their regular partners, and clients through communitydriven initiatives led by peer educators from the sex worker community and change agents like auto drivers and lodge boys. Jagruthi plays a vital role in empowering women in sex work by fostering a safer environment that enables them to take greater control of their lives and well-being.
